About the Fellowship
Each year, a clinical researcher in neuro-oncology is invited to join the Brain Tumour Research Centre team for a year long Fellowship in paediatric brain tumour research. Funded by Meagan's HUG, the Fellowship advances research and fosters collaboration with international research institutions. Researchers continue to discover more and more subtypes of rare brain tumours. International partnerships built through the Fellowship program help researchers better understand these tumours and make progress in the development of targeted treatments and improved outcomes.
In 2005, Meagan’s HUG established the Meagan Bebenek Endowment Fund, currently valued at over $2 Million. The annual investment return is approximately $95K and funds the Meagan’s Walk Neuro-Oncology Fellowship.
