Announcing the Winners of the First Annual Meagan’s Walk Collaborative Grant

Meagan’s Walk is pleased to announce its first annual National Seed Grant Competition. Collaboration between the world’s top paediatric brain tumour scientists is long thought to be the key to determining the molecular causes underlying brain tumours; as well as discovering new therapeutic approaches that can be rapidly translated to treatment for these young patients. Meagan’s Walk is proud to be supporting this initiative by funding project partnerships between the Brain Tumour Research Centre here in Toronto and four different promising research studies across Canada. Seed funding provides researchers the ability to get their promising studies off the ground. Without it, these scientists would have to frame their projects according to government funding levels which would impede new, promising avenues of study.
