We’re Back! and Better!
After a long 2 years away, Meagan’s HUG is excited to announce the 21st Annual HUG event, scheduled for Saturday, May 7th, 2022. Participating in Meagan’s HUG is a wonderful way to honour the spirit of Mother’s Day.
Getting all of us, the Meagan’s HUG community, together again to celebrate has been a dream since May 2020. There is a lot to celebrate! We have some exciting announcements planned.
This year’s goal is to raise $350,000. All in support of paediatric brain tumour research at SickKids. Together we can get there. We have heard from teams and supporters across the country. Everyone is excited to get back to the HUG. Create your fundraising page, and let’s make some noise! Let's make this year the best one yet!
New this year: there are 2 ways to participate. Join us in person for the walk from Fort York to SickKids. Or participate remotely by planning your own route and walking in your hometown. Either way you can help support children and families affected by paediatric brain tumours.
Attending in person? Register before February 21st to take advantage of Early Bird Admission prices including new family rates. Planning to register and participate in your own hometown? There are no fees to set up your fundraising page and get started working towards your goal.
You don’t have to decide now. Set up your fundraising page and get a head start on achieving your goal. You can add your in-person admission tickets to your order at anytime.
In efforts to direct fundraising dollars to research, admission fees are used to offset the cost of the event. Costs, such as, venue rentals, permits, audio visual services, security, portable washrooms, tents, etc
Do you have an event registration credit from the 2020 HUG? Email us at info@meaganshug.com and we will
provide you with instructions on how to redeem your ticket for admission this year.

When you send a Meagan's HUG e-Card for $5, you share more than a thought. All contributions for e-cards go directly towards achieving the Meagan's HUG vision - A world where no children and their families suffer from a brain tumour.
Transactions over $20 are eligible for a tax receipt.

School HUG Day
Mark your calendars – June 1st will be our first annual school HUG day!
We are working with schools across the city to make this a special day. Our Kids Helping Kids school program teaches the lessons of hope, understanding, gratitude and support.
Nothing shows support like a HUG. Whether it’s a student on a cancer journey, or living with a mental illness, or someone who has lost a loved one, the HUG is for them.
