WHILE YOU'RE HERE...
This is where you REALLY get involved. The burn in your lungs and fire in your belly, kind of involved.
You're not just talking the talk, you're walking THE WALK!
You can't just stand by hoping paediatric brain tumour research will figure it out someday-oh no, not you.
You not only WANT TO DO something, you NEED TO DO something.
You're the go getter, the let's do it, the early bird with all the worms, the get'er DONE, kind of person. So if this is you..look no further friend, YOU'VE BEEN FOUND.
Now let's make HOPE & HUGS happen, together.
As in, #togetherwehug
- YOU helped boost our social media reach to a bigger audience...
- YOU helped produce and print all of our posters, brochures, flyers, and more...
- YOU helped 1000s of teams participate in next year's Walk & Hug...
- YOU helped children around the world live another year with new research breakthroughs...
- YOU, made it happen -YOU, made the impact.
- Tell your friends in your city block, religious circle, athletic centre, knitting club, etc., about Meagan’s Walk “Human Hug” and why you want to bring it to your area
- Find several community or recreational representatives who will support your efforts and encourage people outside your circle to participate.
- Choose a diverse small team of representatives that would be great in “rallying the troops” to help spread the word within your circle.
- Work out the details of MW Hug Day with your team representatives. For example: Week/Day, Which Area/Building, Should Everyone Wear The Same Colour, Will You Have Signs, Who Else Should You Invite (Relatives, City Municipality Representatives, etc....don’t forget Meagan’s Walk!)
*One or two weeks prior, consider organizing one or several complementing fundraisers to help raise money for brain tumour research, and present it to Meagan’s Walk the day of your Hug.
- Tell all your friends in your class about Meagan’s Walk “Human Hug” and what it means to you.
- Find a teacher representative to support your efforts, who will also encourage students and other teachers to participate.
- Choose a student representative or small team, that would be great in “rallying the troops” to help spread the word and get others excited about it coming to your school.
- Work out the details of MW Hug Day with your teacher & student representatives such as: Week/Day, Field/Common Area vs Building, Should Everyone Wear School Colours, Will You Make Signs, Inviting Others (Parents, Siblings, Neighbours...don’t forget to call Meagan’s Walk!)
